Things to do with your kids for the “días sin cole” in March, 2019

Madrid-based working and stay-at-home parents have been surprised to learn that there are a couple of teacher training days scheduled for the beginning of March.

In March 2019, there teachers training days scheduled on 1st and 4th of March when our kids are off school. These “días sin cole” are tough to plan for and not everyone can get away on holiday. Here we give you some options for things to do with your family in Madrid.

What KIM says: With small groups of only 10 children per activity, La Casita de Inglés has organized a day full of craft, cooking, singing, dancing, and games. All the teachers are native English speakers with a talent for making children enjoy themselves!

Camp: White Week!

Price: variable, depending on time slot and age

What KIM says: this flexible day centre offers a variety of workshops where you can have fun with your child or leave him/her under supervised care and take advantage of the shops and museums in the area. English is the main language of communication at Alopeke, where workshops tend to be bilingual. Alopeke really is one of the friendliest places for young families in Madrid!

Time: flexible hours from 8:30h to 15:30h (snacks and lunch included)

Price: from 45 euros per day / 80 euros for two days

What KIM says: Mr Willbe’s activities are all run in Spanish but English is often the common language among the multinational kids who enjoy spending their spare time in this creative education centre doing workshops as diverse as learning how to become a DJ to stop-motion film techniques. Go along on 1st or 4th of March to give it a whirl!
