The American Women’s Club of Madrid

An International Club for English Speaking Women

The American Women’s Club of Madrid was founded in 1954 by women from the USA living here. Since then, the club has grown to include eglish-speaking from all over the world and currently has more than 25 nationalities represented.

The club has a clubhouse in the barrio of Colombia, which houses a library with more than 2,000 books in English. Some activities of teh club include Bridge, Mahjong, Book Club, Outings, Handicrafts, Parties, Line Dancing, Sevillanas, and bazaars!

Another important activity The American Women’s Club of Madrid does is charity work. They donate both time and money helping various charities throughout the city such as soup kitchens.
