SEK Education Group was established in 1892 in the centre of Madrid, and now has schools across Spain, Dublin, Les Alpes, and Qatar as well as one university-Universidad Camilo José Cela-in Madrid. SEK believes in freedom and autonomy, which is why it isn’t connected to any religious, political, or financial organizations, making its only commitment being to education.
Madrid now boasts three SEK schools as well as the university. Each school has its own identity, although all share the same ethos, values, and education principles that SEK instills ins its students.
SEK Castillo is located in the Northwest area of Madrid. It is designed for children from four months to eighteen years of age. SEK Castillo was the first school in Spain to teach all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. The school also offers international boarding and a high-performance sports centre.
SEK Ciudalcampo is a school for children of all ages in a privileged area in the north of Madrid, SEK-Ciudalcampo teaches three IB Programmes, and is the only Spanish school recognised by the global network of innovative Round Square schools. Furthermore, it has scored significantly higher Pisa scores than the those of the highest ranking countries. An international learning experience hosted on grounds boasting over 10,000 m2 of sports facilities.
SEK SANTA ISABEL is a primary school located in the heart of Madrid, which teaches the IB Primary Years programme and prepares the students to move onto other SEK schools, having had a learning foundation based on the values of the SEK programme.
